Their input is valuable when creating a new plan their input helps drive the path for the upcoming plan because the general education teachers know what has been learned and what still needs to be worked on. The general education teacher is a vital component in IEP development.

Gaining student input is a great way to build rapport with the student at the beginning of the year. It can be easy using these forms. Student input in the IEP Shows the student’s favorites, and things students work well with. Knowing the student’s favorites can help teachers determine proper incentives. Knowing what accommodations students prefer can cut down on the behavior. Students can also tell you areas that they struggle with in order to better develop a plan to meet their needs.
