A digital special education teacher planner is a powerful tool for special education teachers to help them stay organized and keep their sanity during the year. This post will provide an overview of how a digital planner works and how to use it effectively. It will also discuss some of the benefits of using a digital planner in the classroom.

This is what you get when you use the planner:

Yearly Calendar

Monthly Calendar overview

Weekly Calendars

Weekly Agendas

Daily Agendas

Standards pages (to input your own standards)

Technology lists

Password Keeper

IEP at a glance

Lesson plan templates

Behavior Tracker

Collaboration logs

Teacher allocation money

Community based trip ideas

And so much more

You get to map out your daily and weekly schedule, keep track of your tasks – and voila: optimize your performance.

Duplicate and Delete

With this digital planner you can easily duplicate or delete pages. To duplicate a page simply click the + icon at the top of the page. Choose your template and insert a new copy before or after your current page. To delete a page (make sure there are no hyperlinks first) choose the four-square icon in the top left corner. Select the pages you want to delete and then choose TRASH.

Change It Up

You can change your font as many times as you would like by clicking the Aa in the otp right of the page. Or write your notes with a stylus and use the lasso tool to change your writing to a digital font when you are finished. Use digital stickers to group things together and keep things not only organized, but also cute.

Calendars

By using the digital special education teacher planner you can easily include all kinds of calendars. I love to have a monthly calendar to keep a big picture eye on what is coming up. But I also love both a weekly and daily view when I get into the nitty-gritty of my planning. These are all easily added and viewed in a digital planner.

The Little Things

You can have all kinds of extras in your digital planner too. Anybody else forget all your passwords? Not anymore! Just add a password keeper page and secure it with a code. How about those IEPs at a glance? Now they are literally at your fingertips. Need to see how much money is left in your classroom account? There’s a page for that also. It is all there, and all easy to use!
